If the signal increases, the valve plug moves away from the valve seat, enlarging the flow area and allowing more fluid to pass through. Conversely, a decrease in the signal causes the valve plug to move closer to the valve seat, reducing the flow area and restricting the fluid flow. This linear relationship between the pneumatic signal and the valve opening degree enables accurate control of the fluid flow rate.
